Cereal grains are at risk for the presence of mycotoxins such as aflatoxin, vomitoxin (DON), fumonisin, zearalenone and ochratoxin. Global regulatory limits are enforced at concentrations as low as 4 parts per billion (ppb) for aflatoxin B1, 500 ppb for Deoxynivalenol (DON), 3 ppb for ochratoxin A and 75 ppb for zearalenone.
